FAMILY LAW

Child Support

Under Illinois Law, Child Support is based, in part, on the payor's net
income.  The state statutes provide that a certain percentage of net
income goes to child support.  Although the court can deviate from this
schedule, there must be some compelling reason to do so.

Attorney's Fees

In most cases, a party that brings a petition to recover back child support
can recover attorney's fees from the delinquent party.

Divorce from another county or state

Even if you were divorced somewhere else, you can enroll, enforce, and
modify a divorce judgment where you now reside if certain conditions
are met.
